How we update prices

What we update

On a schedule, we refresh the price and the stock status of every HOMZ piece on this site, color by color and pack by pack. A piece that is out of stock leaves the pages for a while and comes back on its own once it is in stock again.

Each color and pack size of a bin is priced on its own, because each is its own item at checkout. That is why a four-pack can cost less per bin than a two-pack, and why one lid color can cost a little less than the others for a while.

Per-bin prices

Where a piece comes in a pack, we print the pack price and, next to it, the price per bin, tote or cart: the pack price divided by the count. It is arithmetic on our side, not a separate offer.

When figures disagree

Prices at our retail partner can change between our updates. If the price here and the price at checkout differ, the checkout is right, and it is the one you pay.

Ratings

Star ratings and rating counts are those shoppers left at our retail partner, as of our last update. The sizes and colors of one line often share a pool of ratings, and we count that pool a single time in our totals.

Capacities and sizes

Quarts, gallons, outside sizes, pack counts and what comes with each piece come from our own product descriptions. None of them changes with a price update.
